Deborah Cassidy

November 18, 1950 — November 15, 2023

Deborah "Debbie" Ann Cassidy, 72, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023.

Born on November 18, 1950, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of Gerald Reid Bussell Sr. and Clara Isabelle Bowles.

She is survived by her 2 brothers, Gerald Bussell Jr. (Linda) and James Bussell.  2 children, Pamela Kosakowski and Michael Cassidy (Catalina).  2 Grandchildren, Josh Durden, and Zach Reischman.

4 Great Grandchildren, Brandon Durden, Brianna Durden, Abel Reischman, and Leah Reischman.

Deborah is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard Cassidy and both parents.

Debbie graduated from Englewood High School, Class of 1969. After high school, Debbie went on to Cosmetology school, graduating as a Beautician.  After many years she changed her goals in life and went back to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed both careers as she was able to help others in her own unique way.

Debbie fiercely loved her family, unconditionally. She was a guarding shield for all. Debbie was also very outspoken and opinionated woman. You knew what her viewpoint was, she would make sure of it.

Debbie was a Godly woman and attended church regularly. She was known by her family & friends for her gentle and kind soul. She never met a stranger and would always put others before herself.

The enjoyment she had in attending church led her to begin a Ladies Sunday school class. With much enthusiasm, she took on this role with pride and honor. She would have gatherings in her home to teach the word of the Bible to anyone that wanted to listen, as well as volunteering her time and donating money to local and international charities.

Debbie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
