Deborah Thacker

Deborah Grace Thacker, 61, of Cartersville passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Born February 4, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Merrill Gastrich and the late Mary Jane Hill Gastrich.



Deborah loved being outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking, and riding her motorcycle. Family and friends have used the words generous and spunky when describing Deborah. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, and she will be missed by all who knew her.



Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jacque Thacker of Cartersville, Sandee and Jim Rohne of Williamsburg, Ohio, Deayna and Kevin Woodruff of Augusta, Kentucky, Melissa and Matt Henderson of Euharlee, and Donnie and Felecia Thacker of Cartersville; her father and step-mother, Merrill and Dina Gastrich of Okeechobee, Florida; her sister and brother-in-law, Yolonda and Charles Wood of Whitwell, Tennessee; her brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Donna Gastrich of Batavia, Ohio; her grandchildren, Savanna Rohne, Jacee Rohne, Sierra Lingerfelt, Halee Henderson, Rayce Henderson, Mason Thacker, and Brianna Thacker; and her special friend, Sue Rekers.



A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 � 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Those who wish may send flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the Etowah Valley Humane Society, 36 Ladd�s Mountain Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
