Delton Bearden

Mr. Delton Odis Bearden, 74, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, September 26, 2008 at his residence. Born February 26, 1934 in Cartersville, he was the son of the late Lawrence Odis Bearden and the late Bennie T. Gurley Bearden Borders. Delton�s passion was the outdoors including the mountains and hunting. He was retired from Goodyear as a machine operator, and he was a veteran of the United States Army.



Survivors include his wife, Lillian Bearden of Cartersville; his children and their spouses, Kim and Mike Scoggins of Rydal, Phil and La Wanda Bearden, Lori Bearden, and Paula and Chuck Hendricks, all of Cartersville; and his grandchildren, Tara Scoggins-Bullock and her husband, Brian Scoggins of Rydal, Tyler Scoggins of Rydal, Le Anna Bearden, Ryan Bearden, Ariel Hendricks, and Nolan Hendricks, all of Cartersville.



A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Joe Nix officiating.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the donor�s favorite charity.
