Dewey Neighbors, Jr.

Mr. Dewey Leon Neighbors, Jr. age 75, of Rome, GA, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 in a Rome hospital.
Mr. Neighbors was born in Rome, GA on February 27, 1935, the son of the late Dewey Leon Neighbors, Sr. and Ila Turner Neighbors. Prior to his retirement Mr. Neighbors was employed by the General Electric Company for over 30 years. Mr. Neighbors was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Hill Crest Baptist Church. In addition to his parents Mr. Neighbors was preceded in death by a son, Kelly Mark Neighbors.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Sutton Neighbors; sons, Tony Neighbors and Nathan Neighbors both of Rome, GA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.
