Diane Woody

Diane Woody, 68, of Rydal passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome.

Born on November 28, 1952 in Fairmount, she was the daughter of the late Loyd Moss and the late Lanell Long Moss. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Isaiah Hughes.

Diane was an employee at the District Attorney's office in Bartow County until her retirement and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She loved going to the beach and spending time shopping; she also; loved attending events for her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Theron Woody (Armanda Cantrell); her daughter, Tonya Hughes (David); her special friend, J. Mar Harris; her grandchildren, Alexa Woody, Briley Woody, Tori Hughes, and Branson Hughes; and her brother, Benny Moss (Sandra).

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Jackie Ellington and Mr. Wesley Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zane Siniard, Josh Howard, Paul Willis, David Howard, Blake Childers, and Kam Childers.
