Dianne Hollingsworth

Dianne Lamkin Hollingsworth, 64, of Cartersville died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center after a lingering illness. Born April 8, 1946 in London, England she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Lamkin, and the late Eileen Tuner Lamkin.



Dianne was raised in Shelby, Mississippi but had been a resident of Cartersville for the past twenty years. She attended Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi where she graduated with a degree in education. Dianne was employed by the Bartow County Library and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.



Survivors include her husband of forty-two years, J.C. Hollingsworth of Cartersville; her son, John Hunter Hollingsworth of Cartersville; and her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Carl Rutherford of Hawkinsville, Georgia.



A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Faith United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Bunten officiating.
