Dimple Ann Collum, 71, of Cartersville passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010. Born September 10, 1939 in Cartersville, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Nunn Collum and the late Myrtle Estelle Greene Collum. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Sue Adams, Louise Davis, Claudelle Welchel, and Sybil Camp; and her brothers, Randolph Collum, James Collum, Billy Collum, and Clifton Collum.
Dimple was very strong in her faith and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal. She collected owls, enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved working in her yard. Dimple had also retired from Cartersville Spinning.
Survivors include her daughter, Alicia Bohrer; her grandsons, Luke Bohrer and Adam May; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Junior Grady and Pearl and Arnold Kimbral; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Buck and Joyce Collum, Dave and Ann Collum, and Brad Collum; special nieces, Donna Evans and Peggy Alexander; special nephew, Jack Adams; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. George Gray and Rev. Huey Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Adams, Timmy Collum, Bradley Collum, Joe Collum, Lamar Collum, and Donald Collum. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam May, Ethan Alexander, and Luke Bohrer. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
