Dimple Nichols

Mrs. Dimple Jones Nichols, 97, of Fairmount, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at her residence. Born in Ramhurst, Georgia, March 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late James T. Jones and the late Mary Coram Jones.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frank Nichols, Sr.; her sons, Charles Robert and Chester Lee Nichols. Mrs. Nichols was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking, the Christmas season and family get togethers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Ann Underwood of Chatsworth, Juanita Long and her husband, Johnny of Rydal, Lois Cantrell of Fairmount and Jeanette Blalock and her husband, Phillip of Fairmount; her son, Frank Nichols, Jr. of Fairmount; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
