Dollie Reece

Dollie Jane Reece, 77, of Smyrna passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Emory University Hospital. Born December 19, 1932 in Rome, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Glen Charles Reynolds and the late Emma Cash Reynolds. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sadie Cash.



Dollie had retired from the Hartford Insurance Company after 30 years. She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her parents until their deaths. Dollie also collected dolls, and she was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Dallas.



Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Charles Reece of Smyrna; her step-sons and their wives, David and Marilyn Reece of Mineral Bluff and Don and Cathy Reece of Marietta; her grandchildren, Bradley and Robin Reece of Mableton, Jeff and LaDonna Reece of Dallas, Matt and Tracy Reece of Douglasville, Brittany and Scott Jones of Acworth, and Brett and Erin Reece of Canton; her great-grandchildren, Owen Jones, Liam Jones, Rozlyn Reece, and Nikkole Reece; her niece, Tammy Walton of Jonesboro; her great-niece, Kathy Gruber and two great-great nephews, Joseph and Jason Gruber all of Forest Park.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Allen Kirk and Rev. C.L. Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the Salmon Cemetery in Floyd County.



Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Reece, Jeff Reece, Matt Reece, Brett Reece, Scott Jones, and Lonzie Jeffries. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
