Dolly Walker

Dolly Mae Walker, 74, loving mother and grandmother, of Cartersville died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Emory University Hospital. Born in Bartow County on May 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James �J.C.� Claude Russell and the late Bessie Mae Landers Russell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Walker, and her brother, Ray Russell.



Dolly was a member of Awtrey Baptist Church. She had retired from Cartersville Undergarment where she had been employed as a seamstress.



Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Barbara Walker; a daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Robert Henderson; her grandchildren, Misty and Walter Chapman, Kevin and Kristi Walker, Roy Walker, Jessica and Richard Cady, Sarah and Josh Long; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Huddleston of Powder Springs; her brothers, Johnny Russell of Acworth and Robert Russell of Atlanta; and a special friend, Sarah Maddox.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Moore, Rev. Loy Fricks, and Rev. David Stripland officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
