Donald Ray Hammons, 63, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Emory University Hospital. Born February 5, 1947 in Jarvis, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Rufus Hammons and the late Louella Sarah McBee. He was also preceded in death by his sisters and his brother, Ruth Hall, Wilber Gibson, and Alice Abshire. Donald was a retired electrical draftsman.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Hazel Kimbell of Corbin, Kentucky, Harold Gibson of Crossville, Tennessee, Virgie Burgess of Kentucky, and Roy Gibson of Taylorsville; and several nieces and nephews.
