Donald Ray

Mr. Donald Gray Ray, 58, of Cartersville, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born August 30, 1957 in Livingston, TN, he was a son of the late Mr. Sammie Ray and the late Mrs. Effar Ray.

Mr. Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a talent for model cars. He enjoyed cutting grass and especially loved fishing and working on cars.

Survivors include his wife, Ernestine "Tina" Ray; children, Vanessa Bennett (Chris), Lauren Taylor (Cody), Hilary Ray (Joshua), Alexia Alvarez, Sierra Ball, David Klinger (Renee); grandchildren, Benjamin Zimmermann, Jaylen Ray, Ashlyn Taylor, Jasmine Ray, Katey Klinger; brother, Pete Ray; sister, Mary Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Justin Gazaway officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Taylor, Joshua Stephens, Hilary Ray, Chris Bennett, Noah Blanton and Domingo Alvarez. Serving as Honorary pallbearer is Benjamin Zimmermann.
