Donald Glennis Tidwell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born on March 11th 1947 in Douglasville, Georgia, Donald spent his life working hard, loving deeply, and enjoying the simple pleasures that made him happiest. A retired electrician, he took great pride in his craft.
When he wasn’t working, you could find Donald outdoors—whether it was hunting at sunrise, fishing on a quiet lake, or simply enjoying nature’s peace. His love for the outdoors and race cars was matched only by the joy he found in spending time with his family and his cats, who were never far from his side.
Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years Joann Tidwell, his son Chad (Christie) Tidwell, daughter Tammy (Jimmy) Paschall, step-daughter Ramona (James) Holmes and grandchildren Tyler (Mayzie) Cade, Kalie (Arlington) Tidwell, Emalie Tidwell, Cory Mullinax, Hailey (Jordan) Marshall and Josh Mullinax, who brought him endless pride and laughter. Sister Sue (Truman) Sosebee and Brother Horace (Ann) Tidwell. Sister-in law Marie (Larry) Yother, 6 great grandkids, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
