Donald Vacker

Donald Edward Vacker, 75, of Silver Creek, Georgia, formerly of Darien, Illinois and Delavan, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

He was born on November 3, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Robert Vacker and the late Gertrude Brzezinski Vacker. He is also preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Vacker; daughters, Kristine Scott, Diane Malik (Troy), and Andrea Dedrick (Richard); grandchildren, Nicholas Scott, Rachel Malik, Kevin Malik, Elizabeth Dedrick, Robert Dedrick, and Richard Dedrick; sister, Roberta Vacker; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Don's family was always first and he loved spending time at home. He had a tremendous interest in cars. As a young man he would build and race cars. Don served in the Army and retired from Power Equipment Leasing Company after working there for over 20 years. Fishing was also a passion that he greatly enjoyed.

A committal service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local VFW in honor and memory of Donald Edward Vacker or the American Cancer Society.
