Donna Faye McClure (née Butcher), 69 years old, of Kingston Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. She was born on November 20, 1946 in Strange Creek, West Virginia to the late Freeman and Opal Crews Butcher.
Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Jerome McClure; four sons, Kevin Diana (Barbara), Jason McClure (Leigh), James McClure (Michelle) and David Diaman (Tara); Six grandchildren, Taylor McClure, Dawson McClure, Aldon Aquarian, Grant Diaman, Miles Diaman and Noah McClure. She was also survived by six siblings, Edward Butcher (Joanne), Sharon Butcher Chester (George), Joyce Butcher Peterson (Bill), Royal Butcher (Karen), Raymond Butcher (Linda), and Dorlis Butcher Clifton (Larry). She was preceded in death by her sister Paula Butcher and her daughter Angela Diana Phillips.
At the time of her passing, Donna was gainfully employed with Shaw Carpet. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Whether camping in their RV, riding in the Cub Cadet or having cookouts she enjoyed both quiet conversation and watching the crazy chaos that always seems to ensue when the family gathered. Donna also enjoyed cozying up for family games like Yahtzee, Scrabble, Canasta and Gin Rummy. She was recently trying her hand at jewelry creations of which she generously shared. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister that will be dearly missed and remembered.
A celebration of life service for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 430 Cassville Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120.
