Mr. Donnie Eugene Gayton, 53, of White died Monday, November 8, 2011 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, he was born August 14, 1958 to Betty Prather Lumpkin and the late Silas Ishmael Gayton. Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Burlin Thomas Gayton.
Donnie was a member of Euharlee Baptist Church and was self-employed as a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Gale Gayton; his children, Shawn Gayton and wife, Tabitha, Hope Cigainero and husband, Mark, Bobby Scoggins; his step-children, Adam and Matthew Wynn; his mother, Betty Lumpkin; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Brady and Haylee Gayton, Summer Jones, Kayla Rowland and Emmalee Cigainero; his siblings, Suse Gayton, Debbie Baynard, Betty Patterson and husband, Buddy, Bertia Hardin and husband, T.O., Gary Gayton, Billy Gayton and wife, Nellie, Benny Gayton and wife, Carol, Bobby Gayton and wife, Linda, Barry Gayton and wife, Patti, and Bonnie Sue Ingle and husband, Travis; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Angie and Doug Simpson, Mike and Florence Decker and Margie Decker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in the Euharlee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. and will include: Johnny Akin, Mark Vaughn, Chris Vaughn, Black Jack, Chase Mauldin and Mike Decker. Jeff Mauldin, Jerry Ballard and Doug Simpson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family received friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
