Doris Johnson

Mrs. Doris Smith Johnson, 76, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born October 16, 1931 in Bartow County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Lee Smith and the late Lula Darnell Smith. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Johnson.



Mrs. Johnson looked forward to all of the holidays. She loved having her family gathered together at her home so she could cook for them. Everyone especially loved her biscuits. Mrs. Johnson was always taking care of others and never wanted anyone to worry about her. She had retired as a seamstress from Spring City (EZ Mills).



Survivors include her husband of 53 years, W.C. Johnson of Cartersville; her sons, Terry Johnson of Cartersville, Tony Johnson of Taylorsville, and Daryl Johnson of Euharlee; her sister, Frances Roberson of Cartersville; her brother, Claude Smith of Acworth; her aunt, Hazel Pinson of Cartersville; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Nix officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
