Doris Mcintyre

Mrs. Doris L. Allen McIntyre, 66, of Cedartown, passed away Thursday, December 01, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Doris was born January 8, 1945 in Polk County and was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. Allen and the late Velmar Ruby Allen. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Ethel Lucille Henson and Peggy Jo Nelson; and her father-in-law, James Virgil McIntyre.

Mrs. McIntyre was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Cedartown. She was a kind, loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Doris has a great sense of humor and enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her husband, James Wayne McIntyre, to whom she married April 5, 1980; her son, Allan Dale Robinson; her daughter, Tina McIntyre Litton; her grandchildren, Adam Litton and wife, Renee, Andrew Litton, Wade Robinson, Weston Robinson and wife, Kendra, Chris Key and wife, Amanda, Parker Key and wife, Anna and Casey Mitchell; her great-grandchildren, Griffin Lee Robinson, Drake Maxwell Litton, Emily and Aubrey Key; her siblings, Thomas Luther Allen, Annie Mae Coheley and Cindy Diane Strickland; her mother-in-law, Pauline Hubbard McIntyre; her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Paulette McIntyre and Shirley McIntyre Lee and her husband, Doyle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Reverend Dennis Huskins. The family will meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
