Doris Puryear

Mrs. Doris G. Puryear age 83, of Rome, GA, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at a local nursing home.



Mrs. Puryear was born in Floyd County, GA on May 27, 1925. She was a homemaker most of her life. In addition to her parents Mrs. Puryear was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Henderson.



Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Philip Puryear of Rome and Steve Wayne Puryear (Vicky) of Merritt Island, FL; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Graveside and interment services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Lavonne Ward officiating.
