Dorothy Ferguson

Mrs. Dorothy O. Ferguson, age 77, of Bremen, GA, formerly of 9 Anders Drive, Rome, GA, died Friday, October 17, 2008, in Bremen, GA.



Mrs. Ferguson was born in Hancock, GA, on July 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Carlos C. Pounds, Sr. and Lora Quinn Pounds. She was retired from the Floyd County School System. In addition to her parents Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Charles Ferguson and a brother, Carlos C. Pounds.



Mrs. Ferguson is survived by two sons, Charles �Pudgy� Ferguson, Jr. and his wife, Becky of Centre, AL and Richie Ferguson of Rome, GA; two daughters, David and Pat Hollingsworth of Bremen, GA, and Linda and Ron Evans of Watkinsville, GA; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Smith and Carolyn Cook both of Sparta, GA.



Graveside and interment services will be held Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 3:30 P.M. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Oaknoll Chapel Funeral Home.
