Dorothy Buchanan Ford, 97, of Cartersville, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Townsend Park Health and Rehab Center.
Born on December 2, 1922 in Cartersville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Alex Buchanan and Kate Cannon Buchanan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Ford; her brothers, Hugh T. Buchanan and Lloyd Buchanan; and her sisters, Ruth Wilson and Irene Blair.
Survivors include her brother, Rev. Fred Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy retired from Bonnie Griffin Interior Design. She loved working with Bonnie. She loved to read and enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville, Ga. with Reverend Andy Buchanan Officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dorothy's nephews.
