Dorothy Haines

Mrs. Dorothy S. Haines, age 88, of Gwinnett County, GA passed away on Sunday evening, January 28, 2007 at a Gwinnett County Hospital.

Mrs. Haines was born on January 5, 1919 at Hastings On Hudson, New York, the daughter of the late Simon William Semmens and Mary Evangeline Pearce Semmens. She was married to Harry G. Haines who preceded her in death April 29, 1990. Mrs. Haines lived in Rome from 1962 until 1997. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Carolyn Haines of Duluth, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Jerry Searcy of Delray Beach, FL; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Haines will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Jennings Oaknoll Chapel with Rev. Bobby Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home has charge of the services for Mrs. Dorothy S. Haines.
