Dorothy Elaine Hughes, 91, of Cartersville, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Born in Atlanta on June 14, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Leo Francis Thiel and and the late Myrtle Andrews Thiel. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cartersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Oliver G. Bailey; and her second husband, Alton Eugene Hughs.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Genea Bailey of Romoland, California; her daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Brandon Blake of Cartersville; her stepson and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ross Hughs; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Hughes ash's will be interred in the family cemetery in Rileyville, Virginia at a later date.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements.
