Doug Allen

William Douglas Allen, 61, of Kingston died on Monday, May 27, 2019 at his residence.

Born in Cartersville on March 26, 1958, Doug was a protector. He loved his family and was loved by others. He was a NASCAR fan, an avid rabbit hunter and fisherman who always enjoyed being outdoors. He was a very meticulous person in everything he did. He made a positive impact on all his family and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Allen and Ruth Brown Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Allen; his sons and daughters-in-law, Lyle & Jess Allen, Justin Huffman, and James & Keisha Huffman; his grandchildren, Tanner Allen, Gavin Huffman, and Bailey Huffman; his siblings, Patsy Sue Allen, Donna & Roger Rutledge, and Bill Allen; and his nieces and nephews, Brandon Rutledge, Kristian Davis, Joseph Allen, & Clint Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Keith Willard officiating. Burial will follow in White United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the funeral home.
