Ferlin "Doug" Chappell, 66, of Taylorsville, Georgia, passed away November 18, 2022.
Born on May 14, 1956, Doug was the son of the late Jesse Lee Chappell and Audrey Faye Chappell. He is also preceded in death by his wife Kathryne Lewis Chappell, and his son Doug Chappell Jr.
Doug is survived by his son, Damien (Raechel) Chappell; daughter in law Annette Chappell; grandchildren Joshua Heath Chappell, Emberly Kathryne Chappell, and Annika Nicole Chappell; brothers Farron Chappell and Dale Chappell; sister Michelle White; and many nieces and nephews.
One of Doug's greatest pleasures was his weekly dinner with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He looked forward to afternoon chats with his neighbors Shawn and Linda. He also loved to fish and hunt and just enjoyed being outside in nature. Doug would not miss a NASCAR Race; he was an avid Kevin Harvick fan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Reynolds Chapel Baptist Church, 2401 Euharlee Road SE, Taylorsville, GA 30178, with Pastor Rob Miller officiating.
