Dusty Carroll

Mrs. Shirley "Dusty" Ann Richardson Carroll, age 56, of 290 Donahoo Road, Silver Creek, GA, died Thursday, March 20, 2008.

Mrs. Carroll was born in Floyd County, GA, on September 20, 1951, the daughter of Annie Sprayberry and the late Paul Richardson, Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of Rome Church of Christ. She interrupted sign language and loved to read. Also, Mrs. Carroll enjoyed watching her grandsons play soccer and spending time with them. She was an avid Atlanta and Rome Braves fan. In addition to her father, Mrs. Carroll is preceded in death by a step-father, Billy Jo Bowman and a sister, Vera Richardson Pitts.

In addition to Mrs. Carroll's mother she is survived by her husband, Harlan Carroll of Silver Creek, to whom she was married on December 21, 1968; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul and Jennifer Carroll of Lawrenceville, GA and Brad and Stacy Carroll of Villa Rica, GA; two grandsons, Mason Carroll and Ryan Jacob Carroll both of Villa Rica, GA; and a sister, Paulette Parker of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Brooks Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour and at other hours may be contacted at 8 Martin Road, Rome, GA.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home on Saturday by 12:30 P.M.: nephews, Michael Pitts, Shane Pitts, Wayne Mullinax, Anthony Loveless, Chris Loveless, and Harry Brock.
