D.W. Fox

D.W. Fox, 76, of White passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born April 21, 1933 in Blue Ridge, he was the son of the late Voyd Fox and the late Dellie Long Fox. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Fox, Willie Fox, and Bob Fox; and his sisters, Ruth Pritchett and Ethel Mae McClure.



D.W. had retired from Shaw and Porter Carpets and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding in the mountains and never met a stranger. D.W. was kind hearted and would help others in need.



Survivors include his wife, Ethel Jeanette Fox; his daughter, MaryAnn Fox Roberts and her husband, Tony; his grandsons, Todd Roberts and his wife, Dawn, Kevin Roberts and his wife, Regina, and Chris Roberts; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Evan and Betty Fox and Jim and Ann Fox, all of White; and his great-grandchildren, Emily Roberts, Grayson Roberts, Jared Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Gavin Roberts, Jillian Roberts and Lauren Rutherford and many special nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Danny Woodruff, Rev. Billy Mundy, and Rev. Gerald Partain officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Fox, Sonny Fox, Leroy Atkinson, Larry May, Dwight Fox, and Larry Fox. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. Friday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120. Friends may call at the home of MaryAnn Roberts at 21 Duncan Drive, Cartersville at other times.
