Earl Massey

Mr. Earl Massey, 75, of Cartersville, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Erlanger Health in Chattanooga.

Born July 15, 1939 in Cartersville, he was a son of the late William Thomas Massey and the late Lucille Gatlin Massey. Earl was of the Baptist Faith and was the owner and operator of Massey Concrete. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lois Massey; children, Deborah King, Vickie Jordan and her husband Kelly, Marsha Harris and her husband Allen, and Danny Massey, all of Cartersville; grandchildren, Heather and David Collum, LaRay and Holly Harris, and Loren Harris, all of Cartersville; great-grandchildren, Haley Collum and Dawson Harris, both of Cartersville; brothers and sisters, Nellie Worley of Powder Springs, Charles and Juanita Massey of Cartersville, Ella Jo Edwards, also of Cartersville; sister-in-law, Opal Massey of Adairsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend C. E. Popham and Parnick Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be LaRay Harris, David Collum, Denny Lanham, Stiles Sanford, Chad Cox, and Travis Popham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Corey Twilley, Scotty Wallace, and Dawson Tate Harris.
