Earl Lincoln Rader, 91, of Cartersville, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Born on November 1, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William E Rader and Maudie Rader. He is also preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
Earl is survived by his wife Ruby Lee Rader; son Harold Rader (Vicki); daughter Evonda Silvers (Arvis Messer); grandchildren Kelly Rader (Tellus Demos), Hali Rader, Derek Rader, Felicia Liou (Wen), Michelle Hegerty (Matt); Dustin Smith; Great Grandchildren Kalin Liou, Henry Earl Demos, William Warmoth, Nora Jane Lacy, Graham Hegerty; brother Emanuel Rader; his dearest friends Dick Philbeck, Arvis Messer, Walter Coffee, and C.L. Tidwell; numerous nieces and nephews; and his neighbors that he appreciated most Elaine Lockwood, Carla Sue Knight, and Blake Lockwood. Earl loved his family; his great grandchildren were his favorite part of life.
He loved his church family and was a member and deacon of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of Stilesboro Masonic Lodge #260 for over 50 years where he held the office of chaplain.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. David Baker and Jerry Mulkey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Serving as pallbearers are Blake Lockwood, Jerry Knight, Jeff Sharpton, Johnny Hale, George Robinson, and Griffin Padgett. Honorary pallbearers are Cubby Powell, Wendell Ferguson, Wendell Wilson, and the remaining deacons at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
