Eddie Godfrey

Mr. Eddie Lee Godfrey, 47, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2008 at the Kennestone Hospital. Born August 16, 1961 in Tate, he was the son of the late Kenneth Eugene Godfrey and the late Vesta Viola Owenby Shook. Eddie was a stone mason and a loving father, grandfather, and brother.



Survivors include his daughter, Katie Godfrey of Acworth; his son, Carl Godfrey of Marietta; his grandchildren, Leah Godfrey and Jay Godfrey; his brothers and sisters, Debbie Chambers of Woodstock, Rick Godfrey of Woodstock, Phyliss White of Marble Hill, and Michael Godfrey of Hiawassee; his step-father, Bill Shook; and many other extended family members.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Marlin Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Braswell, Kyle Barber, Jeremy Chambers, Tommy Evatt, Robbie Keesee, and Kenny Wilson.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
