Eddie Nixon

Eddie Lee Nixon, 78, of Cartersville passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born April 19, 1932 he was the son of the late Joseph S. Nixon and the late Flora K. Nixon. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford R. Nixon, Billie Joe Nixon, Howard Hilliard Nixon, and Roger Leon Nixon. Eddie was employed with Bartow County. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the family of God.



Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina and Bob Lasker of Sarasota, Fl., and Regina and Robert Creed; his sister, Clara Townsend of Cartersville, and his sister-in-law, Edith Nixon of Cairo, Georgia; his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, his nieces, Sara Shuler, Betty Fincher, and Judy Brown; and several great nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Sunday in the LaGrange City Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Wood and the Rev. Bill Watson officiating.
