Eddie Poe

Eddie Jonathan Poe, age 71 of Cartersville, Georgia sadly passed away at home on July 18, 2022.

Eddie was born on February 12, 1951 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Charlie and Juanita Poe. He is also preceded in death by his sister Kathy Poe, and his grandson Bradley Lovingood.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Marlene G. Poe; his children William Randall Poe and Melissa Morris; his grandchildren Chrissy Culbertson (Zachary), Dustin Lovingood, Megan Poe, and Aaron Poe (Theda-Jae); his great-granddaughter Liliana Poe; his siblings Mickey Stephen Poe (Patricia) and Charlene Cantrell (Dannie); and his special pet schnauzer Hope.

Eddie was a member of Raccoon Creek Baptist Church and never missed a Sunday. He loved taking on new projects such as building things or restoring old cars. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was loving and kind to everyone he met. Eddie will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will be held for Eddie at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the Jennings Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Wesley Morris officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm the same day for visitation.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mickey Poe, Zachary Culbertson, William Randall Poe, Jeff Ivey, Tom Steele, Mickey Long, Brandon Shelton, and Larry Davis.
