Edna Faye Blackmon, 75, of Smyrna went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Born on December 11, 1949, in Cartersville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Lee and the late Mary Lois Heath Lee. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Blackmon; daughter, Jennifer Bryant; siblings, Elizabeth Nelson, Ruth-Ann Casalino, and Robert Lee; and great grandchildren, Hailey Grace, Gavin Alexander, and Olivia Honey.
Edna was a proud member of Faith Baptist Church of Cartersville, Georgia. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Edna had a green thumb for gardening, plants and flowers. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, NASCAR, and listening to country music.
Survivors include her son, Darrell Hale (Connie); daughter, Tammy Hale; Son, Ricky Hale (Samantha); grandchildren, Nathan Hale, Stephanie Romero, Ashley Luby, Bridget Thompson, Levi Bryant, Katie Shellhorse, Jacob Bryant, and Tyler Dover; 17 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and siblings, Linda Drawdy, Brenda Ross, Patricia Hale, and Jerry Lee.
The family will be having a visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a funeral tribute at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cassville Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Hale, Levi Bryant, Jacob Bryant, Tyler Dover, Richard Romero, and Robert Bryant.
