Edward Ayers

Mr. Edward �Dan� Ayers, 72, of Cartersville, passed away Thursday, May 03, 2012 at his residence. Born October 16, 1939 in Fulton County, he was the son of the late James Lester Ayers and the late Laura Aileen Darnell Ayers.

Mr. Ayers was a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army. He was also a Mason of the Euharlee Lodge, a member of the Tri-County Cruizers and enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting old cars.



He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Kathryn �Jan� Ayers; his children, Deborah Ayers Nation (Jeff), Ed Ayers, Jr. (Gwen), Chris Ayers (Amanda), and Ben Ayers (Jill); his grandchildren, Denita Nation, Brian Nation, Kyle Ayers, Autum Ayers, Brianna Ayers, Ava Ayers, Levi Ayers and Jake Ayers; his great-grandchildren, Zachary Nation and Savannah Belle Nation; his brothers, Rodney Ayers (Peggy) and Sidney Ayers (Pam); his mother-in-law, Kathryn Mauney, age 93; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Tommy Green and John Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



Servings as pallbearers will be Chris Ayers, Kyle Ayers, Brian Nation, Jeff Lancaster, Kevin Lancaster and Bob Collum. Rodney Ayers, Charles McFarland and John Martin will serve as honorary pallbearers.



The family will receive friends from 4 � 8 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the funeral home.



Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Edward �Dan� Ayers.
