Mr. Edward Kenneth Davidson, Jr., 43, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born December 7, 1970 in Bartow County, he was the son of Edward Kenneth Davidson, Sr. and the late Elsie Huskins Davidson.
Edward was a member of Open Bible Wesleyan Church and was a hard worker and a giving man. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Elsie Davidson and his brothers, Kenneth Otto Davidson and Simon Paul Davidson.
He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Christine Davidson of Cartersville; his father, Edward Kenneth Davidson, Sr. and step-mother, Annie Davidson of White; his daughter, Maggie Linda Davidson of Cartersville; his son, Kyle Levi Davidson of Cartersville; his sister, Gladys Steinfeldt (Troy) of Cartersville; his brothers, Grant Thomas Davidson (Tina) of White and Thomas Chan Williams (Shannon) of Milledgeville; a special friend, Billy Croy, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, step- sisters and step-brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2014 at Open Bible Wesleyan Church with Pastor Larry Huskins and the Reverend Bob Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery. Mr. Davidson will lie-in-state at Open Bible Wesleyan Church (weather permitting) from 12 Noon on Thursday until the funeral hour.
Serving as pallbearers will be Grant Davidson, Billy Croy, Robert Ray, Jr., Lamar Ray, T. Chan Williams and Scott Huskins. William Reed, George Huskins and Jason Croy will serve as honorary pallbearers.
