Edward Jenkins

Mr. Edward Eugene "Buddy" Jenkins, 71, of Cartersville, died Monday, July 21, 2014 at his residence.

Born December 6, 1942 in Cedartown, GA, he was a son of the late Milton Jenkins and the late Emily Holland Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, and enjoyed wrestling and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Eugene Jenkins; a daughter, Patricia Ann Jenkins; brothers, John Henry Jenkins and Robert Wayne Jenkins; and a sister, Brenda Faye Mulkey.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marie A. Jenkins; sons, Mark Jenkins of Cartersville, Buddy Lee Jenkins and his wife Sheena of Cedartown, and Bryant Jenkins and his wife Rosa of Taylorsville; daughters, Malinda Blalock and her husband Alvin of Cartersville, Betty Jane Jenkins of Euharlee, Melissa Owens and her husband Phillip of Dalton, and Tina Youngken and her husband Brian of Cartersville; brothers, Gordon Jenkins of Colorado, Earl Jenkins, also of Colorado, Ray Jenkins and James Jenkins, both of Cartersville; sisters, Betty Floyd of Adairsville, Sue Jenkins, also of Adairsville, and Sheila Tilley of Taylorsville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Ralph Jenkins and The Reverend Doug Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
