Mr. Edward Norman, 90, of Cartersville, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Kathy Cares Hospice. Born in LaFollette, Tennessee on March 8, 1923, he was the son of the late Jess Norman and the late Mary Boggs Norman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Nance Norman; brothers, Homer, R.T. and Jack Norman; and sisters, Hazel and Ruth Norman.
Mr. Norman was a retired foreman from L & N Railroad and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country in U.S. Army during the Normandy Invasion of France, Belgium and Germany. He was a simple man, a great story teller and was very open and up front.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Charles Market of Cartersville, Kathy Layfield of LaFollette, TN, and Sandra Norman of Knoxville, TN; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Norman, Michael and Brenda Norman and Tim and Linda Norman all of LaFollette, TN; and numerous extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Baker's Forge Cemetery in LaFollette, Tennessee.
