Edward Eugene Walraven, a beloved resident of Kingston, GA, passed away on Friday, June 19th, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on Friday, November 8th, 1963, Edward was a cherished son, nephew, cousin, and friend to many.
Edward dedicated his career as a Creeler at Shaw, where he was known for his hard work and unwavering dedication. His colleagues admired his work ethic and commitment to excellence, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
A devoted son, Edward held his parents, Thomas Eugene Walraven and Shirley Marie Mitchell Walraven, in the highest regard and cared for them with boundless love and devotion. He found joy in the great outdoors, especially in hunting, a passion that brought him peace and happiness.
Edward is survived by his loving family: Aunt Sarah Jolly (Russ), Aunt Nancy Cornwell (Jerry), Uncle Pastor Wallace Walraven Jr. (Pastor Donna), Aunt Sue Thomas (Ronnie), Uncle Michael Walraven (Debra), Aunt Elaine Holt (Rick), and many dear cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Wiley Mitchell, Addie Sanford Mitchell, Reverend W.E. Walraven, and Barbara Walraven; Aunt Elizabeth Walraven, Aunt Audrey Walraven, Uncle David Walraven, Aunt Jo Ann Howard, Uncle Jimmy Mitchell, Aunt Laura Mitchell, and Aunt Francis Phillips.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA, on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. The funeral service will be held at the same location on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, at 1:00 pm with Pastors Wallace Walraven Jr. and Donna Walraven officiating. Burial will follow at Rome Memorial Park.
Pallbearers honoring Edward's memory will be Roger Phillips, Lane Young, Tim Young, Joseph Jolly, Eric Black, Bryan Walraven, and Jim Garrett.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, where Edward's life will be celebrated by all who knew and loved him. His gentle spirit, dedication, and love for his family and the outdoors will be remembered and cherished forever.
