Elaine Burnett

Mrs. Elaine Hulsey Burnett,age 71, of Rome, GA, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in a Rome health care facility.



Mrs. Burnett was born in Cedartown, GA on June 25, 1938, the daughter of the late Alexander Hulsey and Mae Carol Hulsey. Mrs. Burnett worked for a period of 10 years with Springwood Nursing Home. She worked at Floyd Medical Center and was presented a plaque for Employee of the Month. Mrs. Burnett loved the Lord and was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church and had a very special love for her friends Betty Brooks, Sue Edwards, Betty Puckett and her Sunday School teachers Linda Leonard and Carol Ayers. In addition to her parents Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her brothers, J.W. Hulsey, Hubert Hulsey and W.J. Hulsey and a sister, Opal Hulsey Marable.



Survivors include her son Douglas Larry Burnett; grandson, Jake Burnett and a granddaughter, Amanda Elaine Burnett. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.



Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, 2009, at 11:30 A.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Wood officiating. Private interment services will follow in the Northview Cemetery, Cedartown, GA.



The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.



Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Mrs. Burnett�s Sunday School Class at Calvary Baptist Church.
