Marjorie "Elaine" Jackson, age 84, of Rockmart Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine was born on March 18, 1939, to her late mother and father, George Stone & Marjorie Casey. She is also preceded in death by 5 of her siblings.
She is survived by her children Bradley Jackson, Rhonda Shoemake (Joe-Dec.), and Teresa Brewer; her siblings Roy Stone & family, Alvin Stone & family, Norma Buckridge & family, and Carol Grover & family; her grandchildren Shane Jackson, Shannon Jackson, Christy Brewer, Melissa Hicks, Dustin Brewer, Shane Shoemake, and Shannon Shoemake; her great-grandchildren CJ, Nic, Alexis, Morgan, Brandon, Brent, Monica, Joseph, Sean, Megan, Joshua, and Rilee; as well as 11 great-great grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
Elaine was first and foremost, an incredible mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She did everything in her power to always put her family and others before herself. She not only did an impeccable job raising her children, but she always went above and beyond to help raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was incredibly selfless and would uproot her entire life to go where she was needed most. She was a member of the Liberty Church of God and loved reading her Bible and singing the gospel. She also enjoyed sewing and crafting. She was one of the most wonderful, caring, and generous people God placed on this Earth and the matriarch of a beautiful family. She will be sorely missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. C.E. Popham officiating. A short visitation will take place at 12:00 pm prior to the service.
