Elgin Wright

Mr. Elgin "Pete" Wright, age 74, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 09, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Rome. He was born in Randolph County, Alabama on February 14, 1938. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Wright and a brother, Edward Smith.
Mr. Wright was owner/operator of Cartersville Sample Company and was a member of the Elks Lodge #1969 in Cartersville. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Wright, of Cartersville; four daughters, Vicki Moss of White, Sandy Freeman of Dallas, Melissa Moody of Hiram and Tamara Muccia of Pacifica, California; his son, Roger Wright of Lakewood, Colorado; his sister, Ann Heren of Woodland, Alabama; his brother, Thomas Smith of Roanoke, Alabama; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Ronnie
Cline officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m., Friday and beginning at noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project.
