Eli Guerrero

December 31, 1969 — July 19, 2009

Mr. Eli Guerrero, Jr. age 38, of Rome, GA, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, in a local hospital.



Mr. Guerrero was born in Brownsville, TX the son of Eli Guerrero, Sr. and Lupita Vasquez. He moved to Rome, GA in 2001 and was a member of the First Assembly of God. Mr. Guerrero was an employee of Wal-mart for over sixteen years and currently served as an assistant manager for the East Rome Wal-mart.



In addition to his parents Mr. Guerrero is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Karina Rodriquez Guerrero of Rome; two sons, Jonathan Guerrero and Ezra Guerrero both of Rome; two daughters, Maoulene Guerrero and Aubrey Guerrero both of Rome; maternal grandmother, Herminia Cortez of TX; paternal grandmother, Victoria Pretre of TX; three brothers, Joel Barron of Hawaii, Fernando Guerrero of Germany, and Gary Reece of Ellijay, GA; and three sisters, Patzy Barron of Rome, Marisa Guerrero of TX, and Monique Reece of TX. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life for Mr. Guerrero will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Assembly of God with Rev. David McLucas officiating. Mr. Guerrero will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.



The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at the church on Thursday by 1:30 P.M.: Gary Reece, Joel Barron, Omar Rodriquez, Rafael Rodriquez, Darin Greenfield, and Steve Roland.
