Ellen Austin

Ellen Milam Austin, age 72 of Kingston, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021. Born on August 31, 1949, in Mableton, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn Milam. She was also preceded in death by her husband Paul Austin, and her great grandson Dawson Marshall.

Survivors include her Daughter Brandy Tinsley and her husband Brian, grandchildren Brandon James Marshall and Kimberly Brooke Marshall, and her brothers Rusty Milam and Billy Milam.

Ellen was not your typical mother or Ninny. Ellen loved her church, Dykes Creek Baptist Church. She was very active with her Red Hat Family. She loved to ride her motorcycle when weather permitted and traveled all over. Ellen never backed down from new experiences. People that met her never would have guessed her age. She was by far one outstanding, strong, and independent lady. All that met her loved her. Ellen will be missed every day in all our lives.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Sunset Memory Gardens with Reverend Mikel Garrett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Milam, Ben Milam, Ethan Smith, Jack Brown, Devin Thompkins, and Brian Tinsley.
