Ellen Brooks

Ellen L. Brooks, 82, of Cartersville died Monday, October 5, 2009 at the Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, she was born July 6, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Gus White and the late Ruby Gravitt White.



Ellen was a member of Cloverleaf Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Weldon Williamson; her siblings, Louise Simpson, Bud White, Bernice White, and Ray White; and Evan Williamson, the father of her children.



Survivors include her sons, Larry Williamson and companion, Jeanette Hayes, and Rudy Williamson; her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Williamson; her grandchildren, Melinda Redfox, Dwight Williamson, Rocky Williamson, Britt Williamson, and David Williamson; fourteen great-grandchildren; her life long friend, Marshall Allen; and a number of nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2009 at Cloverleaf Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Gazaway officiating. Burial will follow in the Shinall Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
