Emmett Lee Heath, 79 of Rydal, passed away Wednesday November 25, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Emmett was born June 12, 1941 in Lynchburg Virginia to the late Joe Lee Heath and the late Sarah Phelps Heath. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Alyssa Cornn; sister-in-law Judy Heath and his niece Tracey Carol Heath.
Emmett was a member and attended Cassville United Methodist Church. He was dedicated to God, family, and friends. He loved to hunt and fish and was an accomplished craftsman and woodworker. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a city carrier in Cartersville after 31 years of service.
Survivors include his wife Ann Lee Heath; his daughters, Claudia L. Maybern, and Merewyn Heath; Michael Brian Tidwell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews: his siblings Joe Edward Heath, George Allen (Carolyn) Heath, Judy (Ronnie) Long, and Michael W. (Jackie) Heath.
A memorial service to honor Emmett's life will be held at a later date.
