Ernie Preston, 74 of Adairsville died Friday, September 17, 2010 at his residence. Born December 13, 1935 in Milan, Michigan he was the son of the late Clyde Preston, and Ethel Lane Preston. He was also preceded in death by his brother Bill Preston. Ernie was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church in Acworth.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Joyce Ann Whitener Preston; his children, Wayne Preston, James Preston, Lee Preston, David Chase, and Janna Harrell; his brother, Clyde Preston; his sister, Marilyn Crompton; his mother-in-law, Martha Whitener; fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, at Park Street Baptist Church in Acworth with the Rev. Daniel Lathum, Rev. David Summey, and Rev. Donald Thomas officiating.
