Mrs. Ethel Cockrell Hancock, 58, of Adairsville passed away Friday, November 7, 2008 at her residence following an extended battle with illness. Born January 19, 1950 in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Cockrell and the late Emma Lee Sapp Cockrell.
Ethel, or Mimi Ethel as she was affectionately known by friends and family, enjoyed traveling and bass fishing. Her prized possession was a portrait of her and professional fisherman Roland Martin. Ethel also enjoyed riding in air boats when she lived in Florida, and she loved bird watching.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon Hancock of Adairsville; her children, Louis Huskey of Chicago, Illinois, Kenneth Huskey of Tampa, Florida, and Tina Cunnane of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her special friends, the Johnson family and the Davis family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
