Eugenia Hardin

July 21, 1923 — May 6, 2020

Eugenia Carroll Hardin went to her heavenly home on May 6, 2020. At the time of her passing, she was an Alzheimer's patient at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Home. She was 96 years old.

Eugenia was born and raised in Bartow County and lived in Marietta where she raised her family. She was a charter member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church (Central Baptist). She worked at Hancock Fabrics before her retirement. She enjoyed working in her yard and being with family.

Eugenia is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Robert Hardin; her daughter, Betty Jean Hardin; her parents, Leola Evans Carroll and James Benjamin Carroll; siblings, Floyd Carroll (Bonnie), Claude Carroll (Doris), Horace Carroll (Linda), Lois Littlefield (Charles), Sarah Owens (Donald), Stanford Carroll (Marilyn), and Bobbie Carroll.

Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Stark (Steve), Carolyn Crowe (Wayne); her grandchildren, Tiffany Hughes (Richard), Brandon Coleman, Lori Smith (Brad), Ashley Winsett (Zach), six great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; her brother Reuben Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.

A family graveside service is planned at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville.

The family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated staff at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Home for their loving care of our mother/nanny. We appreciate all you have done for her!
