Eunice Mae Sellers, 87 of Kingston, went home on September 2, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1938 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late James Edmonds and the late Eunice Mae Gordon Edmonds. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Roland Sellers; siblings Ada Bartfield, Larry Edmonds, Eloise Gregory, and Johnny Gregory; daughter-in-law Betty Sellers; as well as her fur baby, Lulu.
Eunice was very involved with Advocates for Children after her long-time employment at Shaw. Though it has been several years since she has been able to do things with Advocates for Children, she still received gifts from the children she helped and made connections with and stayed in contact with them. She quoted Psalm 23 often and she would want everyone to know that on this day the Lord has come, and that she is at peace in his presence.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Donny) Newsome, Greg Sellers (husband of Betty Sellers), Elaine (Ricky) Welborn, and Steve (Jan) Sellers; her adoptive children Jackie Gregory and Jonathan Mitchell; grandchildren Angela Newsome, Justin (Helena) Newsome, Cortny Sellers (Wednesday White), Jeremy Sellers, Zach (Teala) Sellers, and Jordan (Bryanna) Sellers; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and her twin sister, Emmie Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2025 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Alton Williams from Young Street Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Friday prior to the service.
