Mrs. Evelyn Lacey Earwood, 88, of Cartersville, widow of the late C. J. Earwood, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Calhoun Healthcare Center.

Born February 18, 1925 in Rydal, she was a daughter of the late M. L. Lacey and the late Artie Lou Bailey Lacey. Mrs. Earwood was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Cartersville Undergarment. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Morris Lacey, Davis Lacey, and Coker Lacey; and sisters, Lela Landrum, Blanche Smith, and Beulah Willis.

Survivors include her son, John M. Earwood and his wife Debbie Allred of Cartersville; daughter, Diane Redd and her husband Herman, also of Cartersville; sister, Lee Etta Reece of Pine Log; grandchildren, Melissa Fowler, Perry Redd, Daniel Redd, and Monica Brown; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Reggie Temples officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6 until 8:00 p.m.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Daniel Redd, Perry Redd, Cris Redd, Nathan Brown, James Brown, and Howard Fowler.
